The year was 1974 and after having worked in the fashion business for a number of years, Allan Marmot decided it was time to give Australia something new, something…special. Instead of trying to be all things to all people, Allan’s ambition was to offer stylish, high quality shirts that held integrity and exuded leadership.

With that in mind, Allan founded the Ganton brand and set out to make his vision a reality. For over 40 years now, Ganton shirts have been manufactured in Australia. Even with today’s necessity to manufacture in Thailand, we continue to make many of our shirts here in our Australian factory. In fact, we’re still based in Sydney and proudly family owned with Allan’s son Justin currently the Managing Director of Ganton. Twice a year our expert team in design and production travel the world searching for the latest in inspiration and fashion direction.

Whether it’s an eye for the right style, or our insistence on attending to the smallest details, it’s our way of doing things that our customers seem to agree with. From small, humble beginnings, we now supply our high quality shirts to over 200 retailers across Australia and New Zealand. Ganton shirts are also worn by many of Australia’s leaders, politicians and celebrities.
