LLOYD as a company was founded back in 1888 in Bremen and has been headquartered in Sulingen, Germany, since 1942.

The company, unter the management of Poul Haugaard Petersen, Andreas Schaller and Jörg Wetzel, generated consolidated company revenues in 2017 of 131 million euros, with the share of exports amounting to approx. 29.0% into 52 countries.

Every working day in 2017, 7,300 pairs of shoes were manufactured: 1,900 of which in Germany.

The company has 13 subsidiaries and employs globally an average of 1,595 members of staff (661 in Germany) and trains 42 young apprentices.

The company’s premium shoes are sold at roughly 3,500 sales points (2,100 in Germany, 1,400 worldwide), in 28 concept stores and 12 factory outlets.

The company has been distinguished with the TopJob 2015, HR Excellence Award 2014 and Top Marke 2014 and 2018 awards.
