Launching 15 years ago, the once small British brand was founded by young entrepreneur Thea Green. After travelling to the US whilst working as Fashion Editor at Tatler, Thea spotted a gap in the UK market for professional high quality manicures and a more fashion forward range of products for women with little time.
Nails inc has become an award winning nail brand famous for catwalk colour, fashion collaborations, innovative special effects and immaculate professional manicures. With nail bars all over the UK, Nails inc is now the UK’s number one nail bar chain. Nails inc’s top team of technicians regularly work with A-list celebrities and fashion designers including Victoria Beckham, Alexa Chung, Poppy Delevingne and backstage at the hottest events across the globe from high profile shows at London and New York Fashion Week to the MTV EMAs.
The product line is formulated with the latest professional technologies, boasting a portfolio of more than 150 colours and special effects including the bestselling Porchester Square, Mayfair Lane, the Paint Can spray on nail polish, Leather Effect and NailKale shades. Nails inc’s award winning Gel Effect formulation offers customers a great alternative to the professional Gel manicure – giving the same high-gloss, plumped finish without the need for UV.Green noticed on travelling to New York city, the number of nail bars that were easily available. Working on a business plan with business partner MT Carney, they raised £200,000 through investors, and launched their first store in 1999 in South Molton Street in the West End of London.[5]
After opening the first three stores in London, as the business expanded Carney left the business with her family for the United States.[7] In 2000, Nails Inc opened department store concessions. In 2003, the company launched their training academy for beauty therapists in London. In 2005 they launched the luxury “champagne nail bar.”
